Search for a problem that you want to solve. You may have the answer to share.
Cross REFERENCE all the information for accuracy.
Observe how others solve the problem or collect data. Can you make it more visually appealing?
Read industry specific journals, articles, and credible websites to gather how others are dealing with the topic.
... or Find data that needs to be displayed in an easy-to-read manner.
Organize the data into keywords, topics, categories, or any other manner. Use sticky notes on a wall or a Word document.
Set all the data aside in a place where it is easy to add to the list. You may want to carry a notebook or iPad
THE DESIGN PHASE

Choose from one of your saved Piktocharts or use one of theirs. The difference is that you are going to delete everything and start with a blank canvas.
Click on the "block" you wish to work with. Highlight everything on the block.
Unlock locked graphics and wording
Press the icon or the delete button. if you make a mistake hit the undo icon.
Click on the color # and a chart will appear. Choose from the Chart
Check out the H'TML codes for yourself. There is a larger array of colors. Input the 6- digit letter/ number "Hex Code" in the number box.
The background color of each block can be changed from the "Add" categories to the left.
The icons and text color can be changed from above in the toolbar area. You cannot change the color of images.
This is what I use. I printed the list off at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML_color
OTHER EXCITING INFORMATION
If you add text and then a box on top, you can reorder so the text is back on top.
Did you notice the faded rectangle above? That is a white square shape "moved o the very bottom" and then faded to almost "O."
I add a Block where assemble layered elements. I can then copy and paste them into place so other icons and images aren't disturbed. When I am done, I delete the block.
Drag and drop
Remember everything is drag and drop.
In the Color section of the infographic I have hyperlinked the wikipedia page. To do this click the text/icon, then the hyperlink | icon, add the link.
Finally, I add my name and blog address.
