The Future of Summer Vacation. Hotspots if The US Gets Hotter
After last week's heat wave rolled across much of the Midwest and East Coast, we here at AOL Travel got to wondering what our favorite summer vacation haunts would feel like
at the end of the century, when we fully intend to be happily retired and holding well-garnished drinks. We dove into the giant pool of (often conflicting) data and emerged with
some good news for heat lovers and some bad news for anyone who doesn't take their barbecue well done. Here's what your favorite destinations will feel like in 2100.
- Total temperature increase: 1) Feels like: New Orleans, LA; 2) Feels like: Las Vegas, NV; 3) Feels like: Los Angeles, CA; 4) Feels like: Miami, FL; 5) Feels like: Bangkok,
Thailand; 6) Feels like: San Juan, PR; 7) Feels like: You're going to pass out.
